Letting go…it seems so easy. When I think about my experience with “coming out,” my initial reaction is to dwell on all the things that are negative associated with the struggle—fear, rejection, blame, or loss. But, in reality “coming out” also has many positives. As I am sure many readers can relate, “coming out” has lifted a great burden from my shoulders. It allowed me to be honest and open with my friends and family—in essence, letting go of my fears and insecurities so that I could draw closer in my relationships with others if they were open to my invitation.
Sincerely, The Open Closet
